Reserve Bank of Australia
RITS Training CD-ROM
The Reserve Bank Information and Transfer
System (RITS) was established in August 1991 and is owned and operated by
the Reserve Bank of Australia.
A wide range of financial institutions are members of the RITS System
including all Australian-licensed banks.
The system features assured payments where the cash element of all
transactions is guaranteed by members' participating banks, ensuring all
settlements are immediate and irrevocable.
Crossroads developed a training CD-ROM to be issued by the Reserve Bank to
the users of the RITS system.
The CD-ROM includes outlines of the features and functions of the RITS
system, and also includes 31 video demonstrations of "how-to-use" the
various functions of the RITS system. These application video demonstrations
describe/demonstrate step by step actions necessary to complete a particular
function within the RITS application.
The CD-ROM also contains a glossary of
terms, help facilities, and email links to the Reserve Bank's Help Desk.
Previously the training was conducted "face
to face" utilising PowerPoint presentations. The CD-ROM can be utilised
either as a standalone training vehicle by the end user or used in a
classroom environment by a Reserve Bank RITS instructor.
